“Comedian Gets Royal Kiss”

LONDON (Reuter) – American comedian Danny Kaye was welcomed with a royal kiss Thursday night when he met his “great friend” Princess Margaret.
The meeting took place in a glittering variety club dinner and the Queen’s sister was being introduced to an official lineup of guests.
The introductions over, the princess embraced Kaye, cuddled him and gave him a kiss. Then she asked: “Oh, my dear, how are you?”
Kaye replied with a smile: “I’m feeling marvelous—and you’re looking marvelous.”
Later
he told reporters: “I’ve known her since she was a little girl. We’re great friends.
We spent a lot of time together with other friends in America.”
