LONDON, May 8. (UP): George Bernard Shaw easily stole the show from American comedian Danny Kaye in an amateur movie they made at a tea party last Tuesday, preview pictures in The London Daily Graphic showed today.

The tabloid newspaper devoted its entire front page to nine scenes from the film which was shot by an unidentified cameraman at the party in the garden of one of Shaw’s friends in Ayot St. Lawrence.

The Daily Graphic said the 92-year-old writer-philosopher managed to out-prank the clowning Kaye by personally directing the film to his advantage.

The first scene showed Kaye, in dark pants and sport coat, moodily sitting on a garden chair, twiddling his thumbs.

In the next shot, Shaw, dapper in knickers and a snappy homburg, was shown walking firmly across the garden, swinging a cane. Danny was picking dandelions.

Shaw slapped Danny on the back. The caption over the picture read: “Hello, there, Danny Kaye.”

The American rose from his chair and backed off for a Texas-style handshake. Caption: “Well, if it isn’t that boy Shaw.”

They shook hands and Shaw, as tall and erect as the six-foot Kaye, said “I’m glad to know you.”

The next scene showed the pair talking. Kaye’s head was bowed as Shaw asked him how long he was staying in Britain.

Danny grinned and wisecracked “as long as Britain can take it, sir.”

Shaw mugged into the camera for his reply, “Well, they’re still taking me, Danny.”

The last picture showed the two going off for tea with Shaw setting the pace.
